ASUU Extends Six-Month-Old Strike Again

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has again extended it's ongoing six-month-old strike.

This came after the National Executive Council, (NEC) of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) meeting which was held in Abuja on Sunday, 28 of August, 2022.

It could be recalled that ASUU embarked on this strike on February 14, 2022 and has extended it several times due to it's inability to reach substantial agreement with the federal government of Nigeria.

It was also gathered that the meeting which began late hour on Sunday at the University of Abuja’s headquarters of ASUU, and ended early hour on Monday yielded nothing after much deliberations on the issue.

According to report reaching PN, the ongoing industrial action might be indefinite.
