"The Next President Of Nigeria Should Come From The South-East" - Yul Edochie(Video)

Nollywood actor, Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie known professionally as Yul Edochie has sparked reactions from his fans as he took to his official Instagram page to share a video of himself saying that the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria should come from the Southeastern region of the country which comprises of five states, namely; Imo, Abia, Anambra, Enugu, and Ebonyi state.

Actor Yul Edochie in his new video, on 21st July, 2025, emphatically said that the Nigeria's next president should be selected from the South-East and the selection must be in fairness and equity. 

But before now, actor Yul Edochie often flaunts Tinubu-support outfit in all his social media handles showing unwavering support for him. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the present President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who hails from Lagos state which is one of the states in the South-West geopolitical zone of Nigeria. 

In a post on his Facebook page in May 17th, 2025, Yul Edochie showed his usual steadfast support for president Tinubu's administration as he shared a photo of himself dressed in a traditional attire with Tinubu's portrait boldly placed on the kaftan and he wrote;

"All will be well with Nigeria.

Under your leadership, Nigeria will be great again.

I stand by you Sir, 100%.

Withdrawing his support for Tinubu in a video shared on his Instagram page today, July 21st, Yul said;

"The next president of Nigeria should come from the South-East. In fairness and equity. That's just the truth."
